UG in Chemistry (FYUGP)
On completion of the Degree in Chemistry students will be able to:
• To understand major concepts in all the disciplines of chemistry.
• To provide students with broad and balanced knowledge and understanding of key chemical concepts.
• To understand practical skills, assess risks and work safely and competently in the laboratory.
• To apply standard methodology to the solutions of problems in chemistry.
• To provide students with the ability to plan and carry out experiments independently and assess the significance of outcomes.
• To create an awareness of the impact of chemistry on the environment, society, and development outside the scientific community.
• To aware and handle the sophisticated instruments/equipments.
• To prepare students effectively for professional employment or research degrees in chemical sciences.
• To build confidence in the candidate to be able to work on his own in industry and institution of higher education.
• To develop an independent and responsible work ethics.
