The Department of Chemistry at Sri Pratap College offers undergraduate and postgraduate chemistry programs with a focus on quality education, laboratory training, and research. Established as part of S.P. College in 1905 and affiliated with Cluster University Srinagar, the department prepares students for careers in research, teaching, healthcare, and industry through modern facilities and experienced faculty.

S.P. College organised a special programme today on 14th Nov, 2025 to celebrate Sardar@150 and commemorate 150 years of Vande Mataram. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Bashir Ahmad Sheikh outlined the significance of the event and expressed solidarity with families affected by the recent Red Fort blast. In commemoration of 150 years of the National Song "Vande Mataram", Sri Pratap College, Srinagar, organised a Mass Singing event in the college campus.
