Geology Laboratories

The department maintains well-equipped laboratories providing hands-on training across key disciplines of geology. Facilities include microscopes, mineral and rock identification kits, geological maps, topographical sheets, hand specimens, charts, and analytical instruments essential for undergraduate practical training.

Geology students actively engaged in a microscopy practical session, examining geological thin sections and specimens under petrographic microscopes in the department laboratory.

Geological Museum

A well-organized Geological Museum houses an extensive collection of specimens and teaching resources, including igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic rock samples; mineral specimens and palaeontological fossils; stratigraphic and structural models; and geological maps and teaching charts.
