About the Programme

The Department of Mathematics offers the Four-Year Undergraduate Programme (FYUGP) in Mathematics (Honours) under the National Education Policy (NEP). The programme is designed to provide students with strong foundations in Pure and Applied Mathematics together with interdisciplinary and skill-oriented learning opportunities.

Students may pursue Mathematics as Major along with Minor disciplines such as Information Technology, Physics, Electronics, English, Chemistry, and Geography. The curriculum emphasizes analytical thinking, logical reasoning, computational skills, and research aptitude.

The programme equips students for emerging fields such as Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Scientific Computing, and Mathematical Modelling. It also prepares them for advanced studies and research, competitive examinations, and a wide range of professional careers.
